After clearing out the room with the one trapdoor and Skeleton Warriors, I believe I'm supposed to find a key somewhere to open the nearby door, but I have literally looked everywhere and can't find it!
Can anyone offer some help?

The key is in the room, you have to take a closer look around. Also you should turn your light (torch) off, it helps to find shiny things.

I remember it was in an alcove (I think it's the second one to the left when you enter, but not sure). Check your inventory as well in case you already picked it, but if not well I guess you'll have to start all over again.
