how do you get past the 4 pressure plates in order to enter the mines southeastern in stormbridge hamlet

It's in the southwest of the Hamlet of Stormbeach, next to the Shrine of Air.

"To enter the Crystal Mines, you must take the Way of the Snail."

Step on the first pressure plate, wait a while (5 seconds or so), then step on the next plate and wait another 5 seconds or so, etc. until you reach the final plate. In other words, move across the plates very slowly, like a snail.
