Seeing as the character system is pretty much broken, with 2 out of the 4 attributes being bugged (not to mention the class bugs), will there be a patch soon and will it be save-game compatible?
I'm stuck deciding whether to make a character that's optimal for the current broken system and have it obsoleted by a later patch, or making a character that's nerfed for now and waiting for a patch which could take an indeterminate amount of time and may or may not be save-game compatible... Not an ideal situation....
Will patches be save-game compatible?
Re: Will patches be save-game compatible?
I' aware of some of the class bugs, but what attribute or stat bugs are there right now?
Thanks in advance for the info.

Re: Will patches be save-game compatible?
hes most likely talking about how Vit and Will tool tip says that they add HP and Energy to base and level ups. Right now they only add to base.
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Re: Will patches be save-game compatible?
Ah. I got ya. Thanks. I also just read the other post about how it is either bugged, or at the least poorly labeled.
Thank you. Looks like I might wait for a patch before I start digging too far into the game...

Re: Will patches be save-game compatible?
Should be. Also a good idea would be making HP/Energy gains retrospective as in gaining an extra VIT point would give the player all bonus HP they were going to receive for their previous level ups.
Re: Will patches be save-game compatible?
Oh god, I didn't even notice (not very attentive I guess), but I've been switching Vitality equipment between my two frontliners (Human and Insectoid, so they always level up at different times) before each of their level up...
Guess now I don't have to worry about doing that anymore...

Re: Will patches be save-game compatible?
That would be great to get the health/energy points we don't get now on level up... I don't want to hack my savegames just to get that right after a bugfix

Re: Will patches be save-game compatible?
In case you guys haven't seen the patch notes, and other posts on other sites from the devs, here is the deal:
Vitality and Willpower ARE working as intended, it's just improperly labeled. You only get starting bonuses to HP/energy from those respective stats, not on each subsequent level up.
HOWEVER -
That doesn't mean you should forego them. They are implementing stat bonuses, and also regen. What they posted so far, is something along the lines that increasing each stat also increases resists, something like STR = fire resist, dex = shock resist, vit = poison resist, and willpower = I forgot.
And even more interesting, to an even bigger benefit, higher vitality will = a higher HP regen, and higher willpower will = a higher energy regen.
