In the class description, it says that Knights are supposed to get double the evasion bonus for an equipped shield. However, I equipped a Tribal Shield (+2 evasion) on my Knight, and his evasion only increased from 7 to 9. I think this may be a bug.

Overall, though, the game is great. Looks and plays fantastic and that's the only issue I've had so far (about 5 hours in).

Nice catch. I have to check that. I have a knight in my party too.

Just equipped a Buckler (+2 Evasion) and It's not registering at all. Evasion stays the same on all 4 characters, including my Knight.

Maybe shields are bugged and not just the knight bonus?

pretty sure the knight evasion bonus is bugged. Found an Ancient Shield. It says +5 Evasion on the tooltip. If my Knight equips it, it only provides +5 Evasion. Same for my Battlemage. So yeah it seems to be bugged. pity.

What's the dexterity of all the characters you tried it on?

Both Knight and Battlemage have 10 Dex. They both get +5 Evasion bonus from the Ancient Shield (Tooltip +5 Evasion). I'm playing on hard and the Knight should get a 50% Evasion bonus from shields, which would give him +7 (or +8 depending on rounding up/down) when equipping the Ancient Shield.

Looks like a bug to me.

The Buckler might not be what you think it is. Check what slot highlights when you pick it up.

But it's the same thing with actual shields that go in the shield slot.

At start it's not "that" big of an issue, but now that i get the Crystal Shield (+10 Evasion) i'm actually losing 5 point in evasion !

at least this is correct in the beta patch. I restarted and I'm getting the 50% evasion on shields now. Even the buckler provided its in a hand slot and not the ring/wrist slot gets the +50% now.
