After using driconf i was able to start the game, but now i have this problem. Out of curiosity i changed for better render quality and i cant start the game anymore. How can i undo the change without the ingame options?

you can edit the cfg file, or you can delete it and the game will create a new default one at startup

I searched my entire disk and couldn't find .cfg file.. Already reinstalled the game hoping to get the game running like before but there is no difference. Please help me find this .cfg file.

You should be able to find the game's files in your ~/.local/share/Almost Human/Legend of Grimrock folder located in your home folder.

There is no local folder or almosthuman folder anywhere in my drive. Not in home not in file system.I can't see local or .local folder. When i make search also i can find little about the game title. Searching for .cfg also doesn't work. I don't know what to do it seems like reinstalling ubuntu is the only solution. I rather claim my payment back then configuring a new installation which maybe no solution to my game. I purchased this from ubuntu software center. My idea is that maybe it is not properly installed in the folder it should be. After all i'm very dissapointed cause i managed to start the game and play for a few minutes until my terrible mistake ''changing the settings render''. I'm lost.

grimrock.cfg definitely is somewhere since the settings have been stored and I don't know where else it could be hidden. This is just a guess but maybe it is some sort of user credentials thing like maybe the files or folders are just hidden? If the file is in that location just typing "rm ~/.local/share/Almost\ Human/Legend\ of\ Grimrock/grimrock.cfg" into the terminal could work. You might need to add sudo in front of that if your user doesn't have the necessary credentials.

Worth a shot.

You are absolutely correct. The file was hidden because it begins with a dot. I used the command line you gave. It is working now.
I think it will take some time to learn about the terminal. That shows i recently start using linux :? . Thank you!

I've registered to say thanks for pointing out the hidden file thing, been searching for half an hour :-)

For people using Linux Mint you can also open the file explorer and from the menu bar go to View > Show Hidden Files (or press Ctrl + H). The key shortcut probably also works for the majority of other Linux Distros.

Cheers :P
