I just found out about the "Slime dungeon" from Gamebanshee and have just completed level 4. Is there a way I can go back to level 3, from level 4 and search for the slime dungeon? When I first entered level 4, I remember the gate closed behind me and locked me in with 2 Herder's, which I defeated, but lost my Rogue and Mage until I managed to get them back again with the blue crystal at the end of level 4.

After you killed the two Herders and opened the way deeper into floor 4, the way back was opened as well. There is always a way back to the higher levels, tho you might need to do something else first.
