Only 1 party can be saved?

I played today for the first time and saved my game. My son hit new game and started his party. Did that do away with my game?
Only one party can be saved?

No.
But if you saved your party with the "autosave"-slot and your son did as well, then your party was erased ...
During my first play-through I generated nearly 90 different save-slots. Right Now I play a second time with Toorum and here I have produced like 10 different slots as well. If I wish to do so I can reload any save with my first party ...
