[SPOILER] big thanks & a couple of suggestions

BIG THANKS to Grimrock team for such a sweet game!

for now, two suggestions bother my mind, excuse me if these were already discussed:

1. Illusionary walls were a nice thing in EoB, haven't seen them in LGR... just another neat puzzle item that is fun if used properly

2. Spellcasting is quite awkward, i.e. non-magic attack requires just one mouse click, but spellasting at least 3 clicks, and more for "complex" spells... this increases the urge to use mostly melee fighters.
My suggestion - at least don't close "spell-sheet" after a successful cast, this will save 1 mouseclick. Probably, just gray it out and back, so the player can re-cast previous spell in one click. If the latter looks too easy you can restrict this to easy/medium difficulty levels

that's it so far
thanks again for your efforts, waiting for any updates!

... I think it will be great to allow spellcasting by right-clicking anywhere on the rune sheet after you have chosen a spell (atm you have to left-click the "cast" button).

Like this:

- activate the rune sheet
- two clicks to select eg "ice shards" spell
- instant right-click at the same area casts the spell
- rune sheet is not closed, but just grayed out, and the last chosen runes are visible
- rune sheet becomes clickable again, you don't have to explicitly open it again. Depending on difficulty level (or player preferences) the rune sheet is either plain clear or comes with the last cast spell selected

how about this?

...don't want to start a separate thread, just a small question:

[UPD] disregard this:
SpoilerShow
Level 7, a secret wall in the Maze of Shadows that is opened by pressing a brick with the rune. There were a note with a hint how to open this secret, pls remind me where can I find that note :-)

Sorry didn't look at your map location. That location does not have a note as far as I know but a hint is look where there was a box.

OMG I found my old savegame with the note I'm talking about, and indeed it's not for that level 7 spot I described above...

So, then the question is "Where is the place depicted on the note? I found the note probably on Level 4 (or maybe fallen through a pit to Level 5 and found it there?)"

ah now I see
you mean it's a room on Level 3 that opens a secret pass to "Slime Dungeon" on Level 4! And the big boulder-like thing is a slime monster :-)

do you remember where this note comes from? I missed it on my 2nd run so wonder how could this happen...

It's on level 4: Archives, in Beast Gardens & Menagerie room. Lying on the floor in the east part of that room.
