Just wanted to say THANK YOU for Grimrock

Post by generikz »

Had an awesome time playing it!

Final stat time is about 16h but I spent a LOT more on it, reloading each time I made a mistake or killed my party of 4 by getting cornered by 2 powerful enemies.

I brought back all the good times of playing D&D, Eye of the Beholder I and II, Black Crypt, on Amiga 500/1200. The final boss was unexpected and the side stories (Toorum, the dreams) are nicely done. Somehow I kept wondering if every hidden room was only accessible through a lock/button/mechanism or if some of them could be found by passing through a fake wall (Eye of the Beholder had a lot of these for bonuses). I must have been the LoG player with the highest "keep bumping against walls" ratio

Hope you guys sold gazillions copies of it, it's a $15 hugely deserved.

Can't wait for the dungeon editor!
