Moved from "creative corner".
Nothing stops you from posting about grimrock on those forums. =) Don't really see what makes that "proper" marketing, however..

Re: USE PROPER MARKETING
'Proper' is sometimes used in the sense of 'thorough', meaning you should post about LoG in genre-related forums etc.
I guess that's what he meant.

Re: USE PROPER MARKETING
From the way Grimrock got all popular on YouTube among "Let's Players" and reviewers (like Angry Joe) I would say that it had appropriate marketing.

Re: USE PROPER MARKETING
Use proper capitalization!
The first release was hugely successful so whatever they did they did something right - still it would be a shame if they follow the Greed Corp model where big pushes where quickly followed by dramatic drops in player base.
I think though, that they've actually been extremely wise in holding back for now. Great game though it is, the main dungeon is really short. Having all that down-time since the release with no new content does mean that all the people who will only play once (quite a number) will forget about the game in the meantime. By biding their time, they can really scoop it with the editor and the potential for infinite player-made content, without goodwill fading out on them.
