Inner Sanctum

OK. Been banging my head against this one for hours now. I can't figure out how to open the inner sanctum door. I'm guessing I need to get both portcullises open so the magic light can make it through to the receptacle but I'll be hanged if I can figure out how. Suggestions would be appreciated!

LOL, course 2 minutes after I broke down and posted I figured it out. I had tried timing it several times but this time finally managed to get it to go.

A hint to this would be great. I am stuck at this point as well. :<

Yeah this was quite tricky for me the last two playthroughs I did, took a few tries. I opened the gate closest to where the orbs are fired from and repeatedly pressed the button so that there was a continuous stream before dashing over and hitting the gate switch. You catch a few when your crossing over but there should be more streaming if you pressed the button repeatedly.
