Why on earth did the game creators think it was a good idea to make a bunch of those darned purpble robed guys respawn? Killing them is a waste of time, and you don't have time to kill those big huge things because those purple people always get in your way. This is no longer about skill as your constantly just trying to single out one enemy so you can kill it with out other things coming out of nowhere to screw you up. I was really enjoying this game. This part sucks a lot though. That's too bad.

I agree, I really enjoyed the rest of the game, but I found the prison levels felt sort of an afterthought, and a bit like they were from a totally different game. The final boss design was very cool though, and fits the tiled gameplay perfectly. You can also use him to clear out a lot of the spawning mobs too, he does all the work for you
I agree that the end game needs some tweaking especially with food.
Personally I think:

Food should have been more obtainable with higher spawn of the dinos in level 10. That way you could travel back and get food with effort rather then rely on save games and GEMs to replenish, which kind of makes you feel like a cheat.
The game was only 10-$15, well worth it.

Wow. I finished the game with a whole crate of dino steaks, plus a ton of maggots and other delicacies. Didn't stop to farm any, either. I did save/reload a lot, though, to avoid wasting calories on the thousand and one retries of so many puzzles.
To the OP, great self control there, mate. And a wonderful mastery of the gutter vernacular.

Well about that....

Honestly believe that was part of the Cube O Deaths reason for being locked up. I mean with out the ability to summon monsters that fight would have be so much a cake walk. I can not really believe the mini Cuthululs (well make them star spawns actually but I digress) would feel the need to imprison Cubeman if all he could do is roll onto someone.
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue. My end game stats LoG 1st play through
