Yes we'll buy this cool old-school game
But imagine creating maps and sharing them on the net !!! Hours and hours of fun !
Then yes , LoG needs it, WE need it !

Don't worry man, the devs confirmed a couple of times a map editor is in the works, for a future patch.

Actually, I have some experience making map editors for retro games. If the team didn't do it, I was thinking of having a look at this myself (providing that was alright with them). Gonna explore every nook and cranny of the game first though

you could PM the devs and see what they have at the moment, as I think a map editor for this game will certainly add to the longevity of it. so it may help to get a map editor out sooner and leave the devs free to concentrate on more important matters

Well to develop a map editor I'd need to have access to a working copy of the game for testing. I've got my preorder in, but obviously I have two weeks to wait first. Not to mention that I've no idea of the file structure. Also, I don't really wanna spoil the experience of playing it.
I guess it's best just to wait for now.
EDIT: lol, now I'm actually thinking about it. I guess I could start work on something, but I don't really wanna pester the developers for data/game specific information, especially before it's released. Just see how it goes.
