I have noticed this too, most people (especially retro gamers like myself) love LOG and that patch is most welcome to. Oh, this is my first post on here so hello every one!

Welcome to Grimrock. The Grand Successor to Dungeon Master.

Why do I need to delete this file? Any idea? Some incompatibility or something?

This is GOG fault. They are very poor developer (CD Projekt), good known in Poland from lowest support quality and numerous bugs in their products.
And yet The Witcher is one of my all-time favourite RPGs. No big deal with the faulty DLL in the pack, there's an easy workaround and I'm sure it get fixed in due time. I'm a happy GoG customer, seeing that they bring Good Old Games back into the market, well done to them.
Yes, Witcher 1 is great and polished game, but Witcher 2 is full of bugs, often unplayable and no support from developer.

Welcome geraldine It appears we like the same kind of games , from space to dungeons...
Yea, I was just out exploring in the Sidewinder when I received strange readings on the scanner from this planet. I decided to land and investigate and found this beautifully retro styled dungeon!
Hoping I might find a +10 Plasma Accelerator Of Smiting hidden away somewhere in the depths.

Yes, I am a happy GOG customer too. Never had any issues. Love the old games (and sales haha).

Now you're just lying. CDP do a fantastic job of not only listening to their customers but actually delivering what the customers want. Look at the massive patches and upgrades to both Witcher games, and the full support they offer as well. Add to this the fact that GOG is DRM free, same price across all territories and offers a service that gamers want. Your claim about this having numerous bugs is also false, or at least in as much as they have no more than any other developer.
What bugs are you talking about in TW2? I have had the game since release and its runs fne. Since release its has a number of patches, and a 2.0 upgrade AND now an Enhanced Edition as well. Seems to me you just might be another one of those people who found it too hard and wont stop crying about it.
People like you should not be allowed to post if all you're going to do is vomit falsehoods. Keep you lies to yourself.
Even though CCC was checked with use application settings for AA/AF, it was a dirty fucken liar. For some reason it was being the worst and still forcing AA/AF even though these settings were disabled. Today when I started CCC (even though I'd try restarting previously) the options were unchecked, so I checked them and it actually applied this time. So grimrock is now working again. This probably also explains why I was getting terrible performance in M&B Warband with 24x aa being forced. Although, other games worked just fine..
