Ok give me your e-mail and i will make a zip file with all the wave files.

I also made sounds for the scavenger from Hexen/heretic

Edit: Or maybe i will take a look at dropbox

Here is the dropbox link for all the Goromorg and Scavenger Sounds i am using.

These sounds are from Hexen and Heretic Monsters.

Keep in mind that you might have to change the Monster Scripts for the correct sounds.

Um...using sounds from those games is exactly as illegal as using the sounds from LoG1.

Well you can make your own sounds if you want minmay and share them with me!

You will likely have your mod removed from both Nexus and Steam Workshop if you use those sounds.

I think maybe the law, in real life practice, is more shaded, and using stuff from (much) older games might fairly be considered "less" illegal than using stuff from more recent games ;) 8-)

Definitely keep those sounds, Dunkler! And thanks for sharing. If you're really concerned you can always email the original developers/producers of the older games and ask their permission. I bet you'd have their blessing; in all likelihood they would consider it great free advertising!

You might be less likely to get a C&D from id than from Bethesda, sure, but either case would easily stand up in court, and, anyway, that's irrelevant, both Nexus and Valve will still remove it if they get a report (which I wouldn't hesitate to make in this case, since it would stop people from using terrible sounds).

He shouldn't have to threaten, he's right. No one here has the right to steal someone else's work. If they release it publicly ~with permission, that changes it. But often with sounds, the developer themselves hasn't the right to release them publicly. Notice that AH did not release the sounds for LoG1 & 2. When you use a commercial library, that's their livelihood, that they have licensed out for a specific [one time] use ~in exchange for their imposed fee. Having the sounds is not having the right to upload them for free. There is not a double standard, where they have to follow the agreements, and no one else does. Rule of thumb (for everything): If you didn't make it, and/or didn't license it, then it's not yours to use.

If someone wants sounds or music in their mod, they should either make it themselves, or find public domain/royalty free audio that comes with permission to use it. Being non-commercial is no shield or loop hole in this; nor should it be.
