It creates a cool balance between getting a large bonus now (selecting Tough or Aura) versus a bigger payoff over time (by selecting Healthy or Strong Mind). Now the only reason to get Vitality or Willpower directly will be for the small resistance bonuses change (and Vitality is losing one).
I'm glad that's gone. It was a no-choice for me, anyway. Why would I ever want a small bonus at the start over a large long-term bonus?

The sideshow: points to Vitality and Wisdom grant resists and better regen too while points to health and energy don't.

Will the Enbalmer's Pants appear in old save games? Could you tell us (inside a spoiler tag) which general area they're in so that we know if we have to backtrack to find them?

Vitality and Wisdom determine regeneration rates for Health and Willpower?! What's the calculation for that?

Question, guys, regarding the patch:
I pre-ordered the game through this website and, when available, activated it on Steam, which is where I play LoG 2.
So, whenever the patch is available for public use, my game will be updated automatically when I launch it via Steam, correct?
Thanks in advance! Just looking for clarification.

yes, it will update automatically when its available. So either when u start up steam or when it is already running. Starting the game itself is not a trigger for update.
