Well to develop a map editor I'd need to have access to a working copy of the game for testing. I've got my preorder in, but obviously I have two weeks to wait first. Not to mention that I've no idea of the file structure. Also, I don't really wanna spoil the experience of playing it.

I guess it's best just to wait for now.

but once you do get the game, and had it for a bit, I do suggest contacting the devs direct and see if you can work on a map editor, at least you will know if you get their permission as well, but it was a suggestion

Yeah, I probably will. I'll definitely ask for their permission before I start working on something. They may want to create it themselves however, and my editor couldn't be better than theirs.

I vote yes! This is the thing after the game itself I look forward to the most, it'll be an amazing community thing.
