Question about core models

Post by Slade »

Hello dear modders! I was just thinking is it possible to "modify" item 3d core models? Im about to starting to learn modeling so it would be easier to little bit just "tweak" some items to make them look different. If someone wiser know anything about this, i would be happy to hear you!

Yes, and very easily too. If you use Blender, check out this addon.

When you click Import -> Legend of Grimrock 2 Model, navigate to your Grimrock 2 directory and select grimrock2.dat. The addon will spend a few seconds uncompressing the dat file and then a list of models will appear in the lower left corner.

We are missing the materials still until the rest of the asset pack comes out. Unless I am mistaken that means we cannot do much related to changing the shapes of these models because they will no longer match the materials. Correct me if I am wrong.

I WISH we had the materials.
