My guess: countdown 'til end of closed beta and start of open beta.

Except there wont be an open beta. They want people to play the game only when its finished, which is pretty respectable. Pre-ordering however it might be.

It's a countdown for the release date of the countdown to the Legend of Grimrock 2 release date announcement.

They should have made an early access buy-in to the countdown so you could watch it count down a few days earlier.
