Option 1: go back in time, enter the kickstarter, get the kit, send it to AH.trens wrote:If someone wanted to buy you a devkit and have it sent to you how difficult would that be?petri wrote:We are more than willing to receive a devkit
I've heard of some hacky drivers that add support to directx games.. no idea whether that approach would work with LoG though =)oculusowner wrote:Well I went ahead and bought a license of LoG, in the hopes that you do eventually add support. Or possibly someone will create a third party program to add support. If you'd never heard of the thing when I originally posted, I'm sure you probably have by now. I think your game would be a natural fit for the platform. Obviously my original estimate of 7500 licenses turned out to much too low though...
You failed to mention 3D. I've played Legend of Grimrock on my son's 45" 3D television set using Nvidia 3D Vision and.. just wow! I'm so jealous, I'm ready to purchase my own 3D monitor just for the experience. The immersion is complete... you are freakin IN the game! Now the Rift not only does that, but it's wholly immerse where, anywhere you look, it looks in real time. I'm pretty excited for the rift, and might just wait for it to come out before getting a 3D monitor. The OP said it'd be out "next year" back in 2012? Well, I'm not holding my breath, but it's now 2014 and I heard it should be out by summer time. I'm excited, and I'd love to see LoG2 on the rift.Sol_HSA wrote:While most head-mounted displays create an illusion of looking at a very large monitor a couple meters away, rift tries to fill your whole field of view (and thus it's possible you're not seeing all the pixels at once, gasp!). That's the prime difference.Neikun wrote:Can someone fill me in on what exactly Rift is?
Oh, and it's probably also cheaper than most head-mounted displays.
And you would be right.Taem wrote:I'm pretty excited for the rift, and might just wait for it to come out before getting a 3D monitor.
