ah thanks, didn't know that, that is very helpful, so a fireburst travels to just one or two tiles? 8-)

Crikey, my copy of the Dungeon Master Editor says 1988 on it, I'm glad I didn't have to wait 10 years! :P
Hmm... time to dig my Atari ST out from under the bed... :D

Each element has one short range spell working on the tile in front of the party (ice being the exception with 3-4 tiles) and one long range spell. The Fireburst spell you talk about is the short range Fire spell.
