LordGarth wrote:3 gig ram. I will be getting more ram soon. The problem is with the textures. That is where the size problem is. I removed all but the first 10 floors and that did not solve the problem. Texture file is 510 meg. Sound file is 396meg and script file is 995 meg.

I will get more ram. I will have a total of 8 gig if nescessary and I will get a new video card with 1 gig video memory.

OMG what? 2GB of data? 70 floors? It sounds horrible :-)

If it takes 8Gb to play, I can guarantee I'll never give it a shot. I run WinXP 32-bit and you can't go over 4Gb with that. Considering all the problems I've had with Vista and Win7, and how old my hardware is, I wouldn't bother shelling out for an OS upgrade just to be able to plug in enough RAM to play one mod. Sorry, but that would be the most expensive and frustrating DLC in the history of gaming. :)

Hmm, don't you think you might be overdoing it? I don't think a lot of people are going to download dungeons that size at least without good word of mouth. As for 70 floors, perhaps you could release 10 floors at a time as sequels and people can import their characters. This way you could get feedback on how to make the next ten floors better as you go along. I hate to see you put a lot of work put into a project and then it's just too much for people to be interested in.

The 10 floors at a time approach is a very good idea!

The ram needed was for the exporting process only. I can play the whole dungeon in the editor right now.

And the dungeon will stay as it is 70+ floors. The exactly number of floors will have to stay as a surprise.
