Modify a Save?

Post by anthony92 »

I've seen to have stuffed up and saved when I shouldn't have and as a result I'm stuck between two monsters where you cannot survive. I cannot revert to an old save because I saved over it and I don't wish to have to start again from the beginning.

Is there a way to modify a save to get out of this situation.

Hi anthony92,

Yes there is, it's complex though. If you like you could upload your save file and one of us could move you to a different location.

If you want to try it yourself start here,

viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1982

One of the prime rules of games is "Make multiple saves", for exactly circumstances like this. ;)

Incidentally you should have a normal save and an autosave.

I've moved this thread to modding.

Cool, cool cool cool. I lost the save, so I re-completed it on easy mode oh well.

For future reference where are the save files, and in what way is the data saved so you can modify it?

I looked in the steam LoG directory and I couldn't seem to find a save folder.

Also, is there a full list of console commands? I found one but it didn't include commands such as, restorehealth, changecoordinate among others, if they even do exist.

Thanks.
