The only thing that I really miss in yours is some interesting npc's around to interact with.
Ofcourse, I am well aware of the not so cozy location this game takes place, so I would not expect bustling cities. But what if you'd meet a starving prisoner and have the option to either feed him, kill him or even replace one of your own party members with him?
Or have the first encounter with an ogre present a slightly-above-dumb intelligence ogre, who you can talk into gambling with you for his/your weapon. After winning his weapon (through cheating ofcourse) he'd be a lot easier to slay.
Or come across some goblin who wouldn't mind trading his axe for that shiny ring you found.
Or come across a small underground settlement of insectoids who wouldn't mind some help against invading mushrooms.
Depending on your choice of how to deal with these situations you could be rewarded with xp.
Right now the only way to get xp is killing stuff.
Just tossing some stuff up here.

The game is still great though. Very nice job! I hope there'll be a lot of extra content for it.
