I'm glad I played this.

Post by Cookoo »

Being fairly young, I have not had the opportunity to play most of the 'old school' games out there. However, my Dad has played several of these, and upon seeing this game, and its clear throwback to games like Dungeon Master, he promptly brought it. After watching him play for a while, I thought I would give it a go. I'm glad I did.

I had never played a game like this before, so things like the controls took a while to get used to, and it took me a small while to get into the mindset needed for the puzzles in this game. But nevertheless, I kept playing, and before long, I even overtook Dad. I even stopped doing what I tended to do when completely stuck in a game, just go and find a walkthough, as it just didn't feel right to do it. (Well, except for that random item riddle on lvl 9... luckily, the only item I didn't have was in the relatively nearby armoury)

I loved playing this game. The only real gripes I have is that the last boss was a bit anticlimactic for me, and there is only one dungeon (For now). I Thank you, developers, to allow me to experience a style of game that I would have almost defiantly missed otherwise.

Welcome to the old gamer's club then. :) Nice post.

Hehe, most games I buy these days I buy at GOG.com, formerly known as Good Old Games, the place where old games get a revival. (And that for very reasonable prices!)

What's "fairly young" for kids these days? (/me = 35, so no longer young)

I think this is just the beginning of a new generation of proper CRPG gaming. It is about time, and good to hear that new fans are getting on board.
