Hell no, anyone can whomp something hard with a large, magically charged lump of wood. Its just I couldn't see mages suddenly becoming expert sharpshooters with throwing knives, that sorta thing would take a LOT of practice (which rogues have, because that's their trade), and isn't really a mage's style heh. Clonking something with a staff when need be is <3.Merethif wrote:4. Mage smiting enemies with a staff doesn't feel wrong. I believe even BobT36 won't deny it
Now magically supercharging a throwing knife into an ice lance style thing, or a rock into a fireball or something would be different. Nothing wrong with mages magically utilising their environment, (think Gandalf + flaming acorn missiles in the Hobbit). But using normal tools as they are (especialy ones that usually take a lot of training) doesn't fit very well heh.
