has anybody else ever wondered why the hands of your characters in most dungeon crawler-style games are shown the wrong way round?
If you put a weapon in the hand on the left side, the game rightly assigns it to the left hand. But actually, the hand on the left side is a right hand ...
Well it's because the character interface shows the character facing you. Along with the character slots. If they made it facing the way you are facing, it might also make sense to show the back of the characters heads in the portraits. Also items like shields, it would make sense to show the back of the shield where the handle is, opposed to the front. So I'm guessing that's why they do that.
