D3DX9_43.dll is part of the DirectX and should not be in the grimrock folder. Antti is looking into the issue right now.

Maybe you guys could give Antti a hand:

1) can somebody confirm if the "corrupted" D3DX9_43.dll has the same size as freeimage.dll? If yes, do the files have the same contents? (answering this question requires a diff tool which is not included with Windows, so it's ok if you can't answer this)

2) does the "Install DirectX" checkbox in the installer have any effect whether the D3DX9_43.dll appears in the grimrock folder?

EDIT: as a workaround you can rename or delete D3DX9_43.dll in the grimrock folder

filesize D3DX9_43.dll for me is 2345 kb, filesize FreeImage.DLL is 2364 kb.

(Edit: and yes, that was a corrupted D3DX9_43.dll)

I am unable to get the Download started with Steam. The game is in my library though. Valve is, at times, such a disappointment.

Additionally, Grimrock's Update is not listed in the Valve Update List.

Can somebody who has downloaded the broken 1.1.4 version from GOG tell me the filesize of the installer.exe? Thanks!

350 453 760 bytes on NTFS file system.

I've read several comments that have said the patch is quite a large download - can anyone tell me how big it will actually be?

We have metered bandwidth, so limits how much I can download quite a bit =) Really hoping the patch isn't something I have to "put off" 'til my month rolls over =)
