You're only on level 3; starting over isn't that much of a setback, and if you can't handle two spiders on level 3 you're really going to get your butt handed to you in some of the later fights.

Another detail here is that he has a party with three Fighters. That's just awful no matter how you look at it, and warrants a restart even if he did manage to get past the spiders.

I have restarted on hard with two mages and and a fighter along with a rogue. I have passed this part with no extra tries! I'm excited to get to level 4 and I thank you guys for it!

I had much more problems with spiders in level 3 than many other monsters below, but the reason is probably that I am heavily arachnophobic in real life

I'm about to start lvl 8 and lvl 3 was the hardest one for me. And I feared the spiders at beginning of level 6 much more than the ogre which very easily manageable with magic & ranged/missile/bomb weapons. It's subjective, I guess.

Hey I had the same problem as you. i couldnt kill them, once i ran through the door not beeing hit by them and i closed the door but another spiders came. i tried this 6 times but you must kill the first two spiders-kill one of them he probably poisones you, than walk in the room and kill another spider. You can prepare antidote with herb and flask. I dont know how but finallyy i came through this area it was horrible cause the spiders are two fast Wish you luck.
