Scroll of Darkness

Hi all!

I'm at level 7 in the shadow maze and I recently found the scroll of darkness scroll and I learned it but when I use it nothing happens. No darkness at all...
Did I miss something?

BTW: Great game! I just got the feeling like twenty years ago playing adventure and RPG dungeon crawlers. Today I'm an 3D-Artist and I'm also working in a small gamescompany as an

Try casting it twice

First cast will negate magical light
Second cast will negate torch light, and ambient light

It DOESNT turn of wall torches
