So, I finally sat down to make a full-blown mod, both for my kid to play one day, and for you guys.
I'm going for roughly a little less than half the size of the original game, with 8 power gems and 2 elemental spheres needed to finish. I'm making fairly decent progress, given I started making it three days ago. I already have 1500 editor entities plopped in, one full-size map is complete with puzzles and enemies and secrets and is just waiting for an add-items pass and XP tweaking, but that comes later.
The thing is, I could really use YOUR dungeon ideas - specific rooms, traps, twists and gimmicks, anything to liven up the crawl. I have some ideas but I feel I will run out by the time I fill out that many levels. If you can also script and help out, that would be equally great!

I'm keeping it simple - no custom assets and no fancy crazy gimmicks, just trying to detail the game up to the standard of the original levels. Sadly, a lot of the mods I try, even the most popular ones, are full of crazy geometry and asset jumbles, or crazy heightmaps, or crazy asset mismatching, or general craziness that I just don't find appealing. I'm just trying to provide more of what made the original game good in terms of visuals, and definitely dial it back on the puzzles, as I found a lot of GR2 original puzzles to be very arbitrary and often unfair.
