Missing Bow

I'm already on level 3 and I haven't found a bow or a crossbow yet... Am I missing something?

There is one on level 3, it is near where you fought the skeleton with the bow, next to the two pit traps

From memory, you have press the button to raise the gate, then throw a stone over onto the pressure pad.
