Re: Grimrock 2 Beta 2.2.4
Now on the other hand it seems i might actually not need a Mac to run OS X. Can anybody hand me an OSX 10.6 install disk image to try that? The one from iATKOS is the best i ever found (believe me, i have tried many). It can work either via VM or by direct installation, although is a Mountain Lion ...

Re: Grimrock 2 Mac Steam Beta
How would you handle the moving clouds etc. with a cube sky? The sky model in the asset pack is 2820 tris, which doesn't seem like that much to me by today's standards (a mummy is 6506). Honestly, i never had a chance to observe that sky is moving, since FPS was so low (~8 on random outdoor) and sk...

Re: Grimrock 2 Mac Steam Beta
btw is keyboard repeat also still off by default in 10.10? I never noticed any keypress repeat problems in OSX, only on linux, although using cocoa. About the draw distance, i don't know how is it performed in LoG2 but i have experienced problems with camera-based draw distance techniques (zFar). I...

Re: Grimrock 2 Mac Steam Beta
Yosemite 10.10 is a mess right now, better to work with more stable OS X versions than trying to fix something that Apple is responsible for (forcing Beam Sync to be on). Beam Sync is not new, but Apple forced it to be enabled on 10.10 i think. There are apps that try to fix that problem 2,3 years n...

Re: Grimrock 2 Mac Steam Beta
- optimized CPU usage of the graphics engine - added draw distance to graphics options - optimized input latency especially when frame rate drops below 60 fps +1 wooow... I can't believe it. Thank you, really! :D Looking forward to the PC release! PS: please include the switching between OpenGL and...

Re: Separate layers: 2D GUI and 3D game world
I don't really mind a low frame rate in a few areas, but an unresponsive GUI is annoying, especially when I'm trying to cast a spell. The mouse cursor is not affected, by the way. Maybe because it's a hardware cursor? Anyway, would it be possible to update the game world and the GUI separately? - 2...

Re: Lack of news
Seriously guys, I though this post was about the lack of news on the blog but all I can see is a heated debate about what or what not LoG is supposed to be inspired from. Am I the only one seeing how futile such a debate is ? Guys at Almost Human were clearly influenced by all the past Dungeon Craw...

Re: Lack of news
So, this debate is all about LoG1 been influenced mostly by DM? It's quite logical to say that EOB/LOL were based/influenced entirely on DM basic mechanics, not rules (etc. AD&D) but movement, graphic style, mosters and scenario setup in general. In the same way Doom was based/influenced heavily...
