Re: Diablo 3
I played the beta and I felt that it was very similar to D2. If you didn't like D2/Torchlight, you won't find any pleasure in D3. There is in my opinion no big story improvement compared to D2. D2 definitely had a story compared to D1 but in the end Diablo was always about hack'n'slash. The story is...

Re: Grimrock...Rox!
Awesome game - As a 36 year old-school RPG gamer, I'm really enjoying LoG as much as I enjoyed EotB 1 and 2, and Captive. I seem to have a natural affinity to 'knowing' my way around complex tiled maps (good for me eh?). I've scooted down to level 3 pretty swiftly using 'kiting' (there's a word I n...

Re: 4 Fighter Run
yes there is, easily you can have a rogue back row with 20 quarrels and crossbow or bow with 30 arrows, theres about 15 throwing axes, 30 or so stones, dozen shooting stars and about 20 throwing knives entire thrown/missile formation would also be possible, but they would sometimes have to use bare...

Re: [SPOILERS] Why I am not buying this game
I make it a case to pirate games. I play through them fully. If i enjoyed myself after the game I'll buy a new copy. This allows me to give all games an equal chance even if I am skeptical about them. Grimrock was one of those games I was skeptical about but I gave it an attempt. I really enjoyed t...

Re: What a sequel to this game would need
I've to say that the game is amazing for having being created by only 4 guys(like in the old times), and the old school style of dungeon crawling(constrained movement with enhanced looking freedom and beatiful graphics) is the most important thing, that must remain the same. Still here are some ide...

[... I'm more familiar with the Bard's tale series and that is the reason why I started there. Wizardry is older of course. If you are interested in old stuff, I would always recommend Wizardry Games over Bard's Tale games. Best new ones are the Drakensang -Games. Shall we begin an argument... The ...

Re: Legend of Grimrock review
I read the review and it is fair although I disagree with the final rating. Some of the criticism I don't really understand. How do you want to build puzzles without switches in such a game? Combat is a matter of taste. I like it a lot. Some people seem to hate it... but you pointed that out in the ...

Re: Game designers being plain unfair
All point and click games had absurdly un-logical puzzles and douchebag doorstops. It was just the way of things back then. Worse, it was before the days of GameFAQs helping you out of a tight spot (days which are nearly passed now, actually, its the age of the Wiki/Concise Online Reference at the ...
