I tried downloading the NMM, and when it detects my games either itself or if I do it manually the green check appears and I press Ok. But then an error says, No games were detected, NMM will now close. When its scans for compatible games any that are found will present like this: http://puu.sh/1fj...

I loved the Fighting Fantasy series and their counterparts, not able to afford them all I would borrow them from a friend or buy them second hand when they appeared. Russ Nicholson made them even more special, his artwork is amazing. Will follow with interest.

You meet the system requirements and all the software installed ok? You could try verifying the game files by right clicking on the games name in the Steam Library then select > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game cache.
